Tobacco cessation in lung cancer screening—do we have the evidence?
Abstract
The field of lung cancer screening with low-dose CT scan (LDCT) has witnessed a surge of research and interest, particularly with the publication of the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) in 2011 (1), showing for the first time, a reduction in lung cancer mortality related to LDCT screening.
