In autumn 2012 the 50-year-old man with negative past medical history underwent surgical resection of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue’s basis including right-sided cervical lymph node dissection, followed by postoperative radiotherapy. In November 2013 patient appeared in the hospital with chest pain. Following diagnostic methods revealed implantation intratracheal metastasis of the base of tongue and squamous cell carcinoma in the left lower lobe. The combination of brachytherapy, in which bronchial afterloading catheter was fixed via Novatech-Dumon stent to tumor´s bearing, and lower left lobectomy achieved complete remission of cancer.
